Magic Item of the Week: The Blanket of Mercy

From the Wife!
This item is one popular with religious brothers and clerics, but can be found among people with the proper spells and skills.

Making One
The Blanket of Mercy begins with enchanted yarn; this yarn may be enchanted by any Good aligned cleric of 5th or higher level or religious brother of 4th or higher level. The yarn must be of excellent quality and should be on average 1 gp in value minimum. The enchantment process requires 6 hours of prayer a day for 8 weeks, preventing all adventuring and such during this time. The enchantment process requires 200-500 gp of incense and holy water.
Once enchanted the Blanket must be made via knitting, crochet, etc. until it is approximately 6' x 4'. This takes about 160 hours of work, no more than 8 hours nor less than 1 hour in any given day; if work is halted more than 6 days the partially finished blanket must be unravelled and begun again. The finished blanket weighs about 3 lbs and encumbers at about 4 lbs.
When not in storage the Blanket must be regularly maintained and cleaned. It requires 10 minutes of maintenance a day, cumulative (10 minutes every day; 20 minutes every other; 70 minutes once a week; etc.). If the Blanket ever accumulated more than 140 minutes of required maintenance it must be unravelled and remade.
If placed into  wooden chest made of cedar, any chest made solely of metal with cedar chips inside,  within the private quarters of a cleric or religious brother inside a properly sanctified cathedral (i.e.,  the domain of a name-level cleric), or a Secret Chest spell it stops accumulating maintenance.
